Serious, adamant, overachiever, stubborn, yet humble, responsible, punctual, and honest (perhaps too honest...). He’s not the kind to overlook someone’s toxic behavior. Very hot-headed. Devoted and loving father and husband. Overprotective.Swift flying through strong air currents regardless of weather, keen eye and quick reflexes, hearing much better than the average. Archery comes natural to him though he still practices quite a lot. Amazing cook.

Elder Rito
stubborn nature made to bury his hardships . . .

THE STUBBORN CHAMPION & PROUD FATHER.
TEBA, HONORABLE RITO.
From the moment he first experienced that peaceful sunlight and was caressed by wintry winds, he knew the village would be a place of comfort and safety. Or so he would have liked it to be… Growing up there was constant worry. That near blind fear towards the beast that tormented the village with its presence: Vah Medoh. Under Calamity Ganon’s control much like the rest of the beasts, the thought of how every day could be the last for them settled deep within Teba’s heart.A lonely type of Rito, experiencing trouble to reach out and socialize, it became a struggle attempting to befriend others his age. No matter how young he was still quite direct and too honest, a behavior wrongly seen as rude despite his intentions being genuine and kind. Forced to that lack of social life he learned to embrace that solitude and found peace in it. There was no point shaming who he was or how strongly he stuck to his morals, as he preferred staying true to himself over forcing change to fit in a mold that wasn’t meant for him.It was no secret that Teba admired the late champion Revali, aiming to be just like him yet mocked by others - how could he possibly grow to be as grand as Revali with that lack of courage? Not to mention, the village stayed far too silent about him. Not ashamed yet not proud, as Revali’s defeat was seen as a failure by many and even more so as time went by and the collective fear for Vah Medoh grew. It may not have discouraged Teba, but the struggle to find that virtue was still present…Eventually, however, he met one Rito, Harth, who was particularly similar to him, and within their individual difficulty to make friends they formed a strong bond. He would constantly encourage Teba to be brave, to use that fear towards Vah Medoh as motivation rather than a burden - such kind words that went a long way for the white feathered bird, as the day came where Teba asked Harth to join him in archery training. A past time that became his passion, and both of them grew quite skilled on their own.He tried studying and reading on anything from Master Revali, though found little to nothing… stubborn as he was it didn’t deter him from achieving his goal now, and continued practicing every day without fault on the flight range. With Harth’s ever present encouragement it was an easy task, one he looked forward to every day. A bond that went past friendship throughout the years, yet unsaid by both.As they neared adulthood, Harth’s time to inherit his family’s crafting business stopped that continuous hard work and training within archery, and dedicated not even half the time as Teba now did. A change that while perhaps upsetting in the beginning for him, their bond remained unchanged and if anything it became stronger. That support between them unwavering and unending. Harth continued being a good archer, but his now growing passion for bow crafting led him to design a specific bow for his close friend…As Teba’s skills grew, so did his self confidence, and perhaps without even meaning to he started turning reckless enough to the point of the inevitable: having an accident led him to seek help with the village’s healers, where he’d meet someone who’d become far too special in his life: Saki, a healer in training. She did not hold back on scolding the other for his recklessness, yet all Teba could focus on were her beautiful feathers and her gentle voice. He asked if she’d be willing to teach him how to tend to his wounds, and while it would be useful knowledge it didn’t change how he was just looking for excuses to get to know her more. Time passed, they became close to one another and eventually fell deeply in love. Even years later she would boldly and continuously point out Teba’s recklessness, coming from a place of worry yet she trusted him. He’d never turn a blind eye to those anxieties, reassuring her every time without fail, and every time he kept his word.Years after the happy couple got married, Harth was successful and far too skillful in his crafting and was more than happy for Teba… the village was calm, yet it wasn’t clear of that monster high in the sky. After Teba and Saki had a son, Tulin, she insisted on him giving up his training. Teba, however, found more motivation to take down Vah Medoh, as his son being born fed that purpose to make sure the village would be safe - he didn’t want Tulin growing up with the same fear he did… He promised that despite his arduous training he’d still be present for his family, being a good father and husband. A well kept promise… for a long while.Blood soaked feathers. Bows broken, arrows turned to ash…Going to Harth, they agreed it was time. They’ll make their move and attack Vah Medoh. They will bring down the gigantic beast if it was the last thing they did. Only… the giant was terribly powerful and well protected, deflecting every single arrow they fired at it. Cannons aimed at both of them, and Harth, having less skill than Teba now, got severely injured. Immediately they retreat; heading towards the village and seeking help from Saki. It’s an incident Teba will fully blame himself for… he was aware Harth fell behind on his training due to his own passions. A selfish move on his part, and while Saki tended to the injured Rito he immediately headed back towards the flight range.Assessing the damage, his bow needed but a bit of tweaking as it was still salvageable. However… he wasn’t mastered in bow crafting, nor did he dare ask Harth for help now - he couldn’t bring himself to it, not after that guilt drowning over his heart. But he knew what needed to be done, and he will not put anyone else at risk. Paranoia clawed deep into him and decided on going through this battle alone.Until a mysterious Hylian approached.

MENDING LIFE LONG SCARSIt took a challenge set by Teba for the Hylian to prove themselves worthy, one that was far too swiftly completed - the Rito will admit being far too quick to judge based on looks alone, with a story that seemed far too impossible. The Hylian set to be champion in this era? One hundred years later? But, whether it is true or not, there was no doubt that Link would be of immense help on his quest. They had the same goal, and with his spirits uplifted by this stranger who had brought him hope, they set flight towards Vah Medoh again. It’s in disbelief that they successfully took the giant beast’s defenses down, though not without cost. Teba, as much as he meant to carry the weight of bringing down Medoh, suffered an injury to his leg that rendered him unable to carry on. That moment with Link however was enough to establish trust, and while riddled with guilt and shame he chose to retreat and leave the dire task to his Hylian companion - he couldn’t afford to be selfish now, not when he first promised to take care of himself and prioritize his family over everything and anything else.Back in the flight range he’ll mourn his own failure and battle his own demons in silence. It’s known to him this didn’t mean failure, that this shouldn’t be a hit to his pride. Link could have never gotten to Vah Medoh without his help at all. Perhaps it’s a kind of weight that while it remained with him, he’s aware it was worth it to move on from it - to learn from it…Vah Medoh coming back to the very top of Rito Village and aiming towards the castle was enough for everyone to know that the beast had been tamed. That threat was no more and they could return to their peaceful lives. Teba will thank the hero, wish them well on their adventure and quest that was yet to come to an end. There was still something that he needed to address… going back to Harth who had now properly healed, he managed to apologize in his own unique way. The words weren’t said directly, but the two still talked about Harth’s previous injury during that first attempt against Vah Medoh - something they could bond with considering Teba’s own healing process. That bond between them continued to prove itself unbreakable, and the only favor Teba ever asked from his lifelong companion was to teach him the art of bow craftsmanship.

STRUCK BY THE BLIZZARDHe continued to prove himself in the village, valuable leadership that was admired by most. It was but a matter of time before Teba was named Rito Elder, proudly taking on the title and continuing as he has already been doing for years: look after his home and his people. The earned privilege came with its own advantages, as he had plenty of ideas to further expand the village and boost its economy, though unfortunately before any of that could become a proper reality, they were struck by a powerful blizzard. He had to think quickly and make tough decisions, prioritizing the younger kind and working alongside adult Ritos. They’d focus on bringing back food, and as much as he hated reaching for it, the younger would be responsible for the businesses. The destruction of the bridge that led to their village didn’t make things any easier, making it difficult to keep a healthy economy or even bring in any help coming from outside…His son, Tulin, had grown into quite the warrior. One that thought could fight mighty battles on their own - a behavior that brings Teba to be even more overprotective and stern. How it fired back with his own son’s free spirit… but he couldn’t blame Tulin too much. After all, they had quite the similar traits in that regard. That bold stubbornness from them both is what leads Tulin on the right path to save the village. As history repeats itself, only Tulin’s personality leads them to trouble more than once - for their luck, Link arrives just in time to help, and together working as a team manage to surpass obstacles. A valuable lesson for the young Rito, and ironically enough something that Teba himself learned just the same thanks to the Hylian.

PRIDE AMONG THE RITO AND IMMUTABLE TRUSTIn their own quest it’s revealed that Tulin is the Sage of Wind, and once the village is safe it’s with great pride that Teba welcomes them back. He’s not only proud and perhaps partially in disbelief that Tulin was able to achieve something so great, but the fact they had grown in their quest fully confirms what he already knew. Tulin was ready to be given Revali’s bow and be the pride of the village. A brave warrior, a Rito that could achieve greatness and surpass his own father… Teba couldn’t be more proud.A part of him will always remain overprotective, as he continued to be Tulin’s father. He will always want what is best for his son, but he also knows of their bravery and skill, along with that heart of gold and he only wished he had. How easy it was for Tulin to be of help, to reach out, to befriend a stranger lost in their travels. It’s not jealousy, it’s a pure sense of calmness knowing that, despite his own worries, Tulin would be more than safe.

a path insisted on walking alone .
Devoted Father
every failure weighing on him -
MAIN
WARRIOR AND CHIEF.
Includes the events of BotW and TotK. He’s been called stubborn and reckless, but only because the village, as well as his family, worry about the warrior. Teba means good by staying distant from everyone, training on the flight range, and spending multiple days and nights before even seeing his home again. It’s not because he doesn’t care, rather he firmly believes the harder he trains the sooner the beast will be gone. If approached he won’t be friendly as he values time more than anything and interruptions are nothing but an obstacle. Should it be convenient for him, he’ll travel across the land. It takes a while to talk sense into him, but even when being so difficult to talk to he’s still humble. The successful reclaim of Vah Medoh paid off despite failure, titled Rito Elder of the village now and proudly so. He will continue to look after his people, fiercely so... through heavy unpredictable obstacles he still managed to persevere, though not without the help of his pride and joy Tulin who was discovered to be the Sage of Wind. Together, father and son form a team like no other, village still healing from the blizzard but time and patience were key to all of this... while still protective of his son, he fully recognizes Tulin's own achievements and growth.

ALTERNATE VERSES
CALAMITY
The divine beast had been defeated and peace had been brought to Hyrule, ever grateful with the Hylian who was just as stubborn as himself and decided to help with his quest. Now he just needs to focus on his own training as well as Tulin’s - until being called by an odd-looking being to help in another battle through time. Far more dangerous than his own ever was, but if it means changing history and perhaps the possibility of learning from Revali himself, then he’ll take it.THROUGH SWIFT PORTALS
Hyrule Warriors. The odd-looking portals appearing in different places made traveling through time and space possible; with Ganon defeated in his own homeland, Teba flies across different universes offering his help to any kind stranger who may need it. Although risky he just wants everyone else to be safe and calm much like when he helped his own village. He’ll need to go back to his own time to meet again with his family, as it’s still his highest priority.TALENTED COOK
What could have been if Teba hadn’t aimed to be a warrior. His flying skills are still quite developed, but nothing he means to use to bring down the beast. Instead, his skills focused somewhere else: cooking. Living peacefully in Rito Village he earns the reputation of being their best cook, going from simple dishes to very developed ones, as well as any and all courses. Truly an expert chef who likes traveling in search of different ingredients, flavors, and recipes. Always willing to learn from whoever wants to teach him.
CHAMPION
Born before the calamity, the skilled warrior was chosen to pilot the ancient beast Vah Medoh in order to defeat Ganon when he returns. It’s an inevitable fate, spending multiple hours in training until his wings were sore. It was worth it though, skilled in archery like no one else had seen before and he prides himself on that, though does not brag about it in the least. The only reason he remains relatively distant from the other champions was due to a lack of social skills.WIND SAGE ( KINGDOM AU )
Long story short what if Teba was the Sage instead of Tulin.

CROSSOVERS
OF A FEATHER ( BEASTARS )
When those of his kind came of age, they could apply for a flying license. Ever fascinated by the skies he specialized in it, turning to teaching and helping others through that process to meet him in those peaceful heights - while respecting the appropriate laws of it, of course. A dark secret keeps him on that righteous path, as he used to partake in the black market years ago. Through therapy he got himself back on his feet, motivation found to investigate and learn more regarding his own kind. Dietary needs and whatnot, and so he found the time on the weekends to give cooking classes and share his knowledge. Anyone was welcome there, carnivores encouraged so they would hopefully avoid the same mistake he did a long time ago...
